Our Summer Program is a safe place for children 5 to 18 years of age to attend during the summer and interact with positive adult role models (5 year olds must be entering into Kindergarten & may attend on a trial basis).  Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Qualified staff provides structured activities in several areas of learning and fun.  Scholarships are available so that the program is affordable for everyone.  Programs include:  indoor-outdoor athletic activities, games room tournaments, arts & crafts projects, computer fun, and educational activities in our Venture Center.  Also please remember our Annual Membership expires at the end of the Summer Program.  All 2013-2014 memberships expire on August 19th.  For more information about our program and our policies and procedures, please pick up a Membership Handbook at the front counter.  Reminder, to best serve your child this facility is not a daycare facility; it is intended to provide youth development programs.

Annual Membership Fee

The Annual Membership fee is a one-time $25.00 fee per child.  The Annual Membership period is from the beginning of the School Year program until the end of the Summer Program. We do not have a sliding membership fee scale for multiple family members.  Hours of operation are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Scholarships are available for those who qualify.  Inquire at the Front Counter.

Orchards Clubhouse Summer Registration Fee

After you have paid your Summer Membership there is no additional cost for the Orchards Clubhouse Program between the hours of 10:00am to 6:00 pm.  We will offer an Early Bird Program (weekly fee-based) this summer between the hours of 7:00 am and 10:00 am.

Early Bird Program

This summer we will offer the Early Bird Program.  This fee based program is designed to help those families who need a positive place for Club Members 5 to 18 years of age to go during the hours of 7:00 and 10:00 am.  Breakfast will also be included in this program and served between 8:00 and 8:45 am only.  The cost of this program is $25.00 per week (last week of summer is $20) and must be paid in advance of the week attending (The Friday before the Monday attending).  Reduced weekly rates will be available if you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch.  We ask that you do not bring your child to the Club before 7:00 am.  ColorTyme Scholarships do not cover the Early Bird Program.  You may pay for multiple weeks at one time for your convenience.  If you wish to pay for the entire summer in advance, we will offer a reduced rate of $200.00.  Pay for 8 weeks and get 2 free! (No refunds/credits available for missed weeks)  This program is not designed for every Club Member.

Lunch

A free lunch is provided at Sacagawea Junior High School to all Club Members thanks to the Lewiston School District.  Lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:30 pm.  The Clubhouse will be closed during lunch hours.  If your child chooses not to eat the provided lunch they may bring a sack lunch.  We ask that you do not send any food items that need to be cooked or microwaved at the Club.  I.E., Top Ramen, Frozen Food, etc.  Please also provide them with utensils.

Snack

The Club WILL NOT offer a 4:00 p.m. snack, although you are welcome to pack a snack for your child.

 “Outside the Club” Activities

The “Outside the Club” Activities will begin at 12:45 pm and end at 4:00 pm.  Your child will be able to attend an outside activity once per week with their specific age group (See our age group schedule below).  Outside Activities are offered to enhance our Summer Program and are not designed to replace our Clubhouse Program. For a child to be able to attend, payment must be made before 11:30 pm on the day of the activity.  If your child does not participate in the activity, they will be placed with a different age group from 12:45 pm to 4:00 pm.  We prefer that you do not pick up your child from special events; however we realize that this may be necessary at times.  Please notify the staff at the Club and the staff at the event site.  There will be no refunds/credits given for missed activities.

  • Pre Summer Special – $47.50 for all activities OR ColorTyme Scholarship (no refunds/credits for missed activities)

 

Please discuss with your child if and when he/she has permission to attend “Outside the Club” Activities.  There is not adequate time in the day to allow each member to call for permission.  The staff will trust the member’s decision to attend or not.  Please send your child with the proper materials for each activity.

Scholarships

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valleyprovide a safe, secure and friendly environment for youth and teens in grades K-12, regardless of financial status. Current membership is REQUIRED to be in the facility, and/or participating in Club activities and programs.

 Reduced membership fees are available to families based on specific eligibility criteria. Proof of eligibility is required. Scholarships are not given for fees already paid. For families and youth needing financial assistance with membership and program fees, we offer the following:

MEMBERSHIP FEES

 If the child is on the free lunch program at school, the membership fee is reduced in half and must be paid up front. If the child is on the reduced lunch program at school, the membership fee is reduced by a forth and must be paid up front.
If the child is a resident of public housing, the membership fee is reduced to $5 and must be paid up front.
CASHTYME has generously agreed to pay the membership fee through the “CASHTYME Kids” Scholarship fund for those who qualify. Please inquire about this scholarship opportunity at your respective Club.

FEE-BASED PROGRAMS

(Transportation Program, Early Bird, Kindergarten, Summer Challengers)
If the child is on the free lunch program at school or is a resident of public housing, the program fee is reduced by 1/2 and must be paid up front. If the child is on the reduced lunch program at school, the program fee is reduced by 1/4 and must be paid up front.

ATHLETICS

If the child is on the free lunch program at school or is a resident of public housing, the program fee is reduced by half and must be paid up front. If the child is on the reduced lunch program at school, the athletic fee is reduced by 1/4 and must be paid up front.

NON-ATHLETIC PROGRAMS

 Depending on the size of the program or activity, a limited number of scholarship slots may be available. If scholarships slots are provided and available, and a child is on the free or reduced lunch program at school or is a resident of public housing, the program fee is reduced by half and must be paid up front.

Check-in/out Policy
This is a Drop-in Program, the staff do not give permission for teen members to leave the Club, nor do they insist that they stay.  The decision as to when a drop-in member arrives and leaves the Club and with whom is a matter between parent and teen.
We encourage members not to bring items of value to the Club. We also encourage members to take responsibility for all of their personal belongings. The Boys & Girls Club and Staff are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Lewiston School Year Program

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm / Monday – Friday

Our School Year Program is a safe place for children 5 to 18 years of age to go after school, and be influenced by positive adult role models (5 year olds must be in Kindergarten & may attend on a trial basis).  Our hours areMonday thru Friday 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  Qualified trained staff professionals provide structured activities in several areas of learning and fun.  Scholarships are available so the program is affordable for everyone.  Programs include:  indoor-outdoor athletic activities, games room tournaments, arts & crafts projects, computer fun, and Power Hour Homework Program.  Also, please remember the school year ends June 3rd, 2016 and members must then register for the Summer Program.  For more information about our program and our policies and procedures, please pick up a Membership Handbook at the front counter.  Reminder, this facility is not a daycare; it is intended to provide youth development programs.
Participation in this program or any program offered at the Boys & Girls Club requires a current Club membership.  The membership fee is a one-time fee for the year.  The cost is $25.00 per child.  We do not have a sliding membership fee scale for multiple family members.  Hours of operation vary depending on the program attending.  Memberships run from September-August.  Scholarships are available for those who qualify.  Inquire at the Front Counter.

The Club has an “Open Door” Policy

Staff will not give permission for members to leave the Club, nor do they insist they stay.  The decision as to when a member arrives and leaves the Boys & Girls Club, and with whom, is a matter between the parent and child.  The staff assumes NO responsibility or liability as to custody, care and control.  All members must have the physical, mental and emotional maturity to act and interact independently and responsibly.

Sign-In/Sign-Out

Please remind your child to sign in when they arrive & sign out when they leave on the computer at the front counter.  This is a helpful tracking tool for parents and staff but is the responsibility of the member to carry out.  Club members must be picked up and signed out by closing time!!  Failure to do so could result in loss of membership.

“Outside the Club” Activities

The Club will occasionally go on “Outside the Club” Activities. For a child to be able to attend, payment must be made before the day of the activity. We prefer that you do not pick up your child from special events, but we realize that at times, this may be necessary.  Please notify the staff at the Club and the staff at the event site.  There will be no refunds or credits given for missed activities.  Activity costs will vary depending on the activity.

Health & Accidents

In the event of an emergency, a staff will attempt to contact parents using the information on the registration form.  Please keep your home, work, and emergency contact information current.  In fairness to your child and others, please do not send your child to the Club when he/she is ill.  Staff will notify a parent as soon as possible if your child becomes ill while at the Club.  If a parent cannot be reached, Club staff will assess the situation and make the necessary decisions for the safety of the child.

Fee Based Programs

The Boys & Girls Clubs offer additional fee based programs during the school year which may incur additional costs.  Examples of these programs are the Athletic Programs, Early Bird Program, Kindergarten Program, Club Cab Transportation Program and Outside the Club Activities.  Check with the Club you are registering with the specifics of these programs.  We do not pro rate our Monthly Programs into daily or weekly fees regardless of the amount of days used.  All fees must be paid in advance of the month attending.  Refund requests are done on a case by case basis.  It is our policy to not allow a refund once our service has been provided and a member has already started to participate in our programs.  If a refund is issued please allow 7-10 days for processing.
