Teens:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valley offers teen services to members in grades 7-12. Programs are uniquely developed based on the needs and interests of our members. Field trips, events, and programs are created to help our members grow socially and academically, while still keeping a focus on fun.

History:
1945
The Beginning
W.W. Hayes, Bud Huddleston, and Basil Wiggens initiated the first group of 85 boys in the old Temple Theater on June 12, 1945. 
1951
Construction Complete
Construction was completed on the clubhouse by Vollmer Bowl. 1968 A Clarkston Clubhouse came into operation at the old Whittier Middle School. 
1979
First Club Auction
The first Annual Board of Directors Auction took place and netted some $28,000.Currently, this spectacular annual event nets approximately $270,000 – $290,000. 
1983
Club & Center Merge
One of the most dramatic and exciting changes came when the Boys Club merged with the Girls Center, Inc. The name Valley Boys & Girls Club was adopted. 
1986
New Clarkston Clubhouse
A new clubhouse was built in Clarkston adjacent to Grantham Elementary School. Wittman Farms offered for use, a small section of the family’s mountain property to utilize for a camp. 
1991
Membership Increases
Realizing that Lewiston’s population was expanding primarily within the Orchards, a Capital Campaign drive was initiated. This project was successful with an immediate 20% increase in membership. 


1998
Clarkston Club Moves
Having outgrown the Grantham School site, the Clarkston Club moved to a new much larger site at Elm and 15th Streets to accommodate more kids. 

1998
Lapwai Club Opens
Recognizing the need for a safe positive place with structured activities, the long awaited Club at Lapwai opened its doors. It exceeded our expectations in just the first few days with over 150 members. 
2001
Name Change
The Valley Boys & Girls Clubs changed its name to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valley. 
2003
Year of Expansion
Was a huge year for expansion. On June 16th, we opened our doors to our Lapwai Club. 

2003
Guy Bennett Club Opens
August 27th we celebrated the Grand Opening of our Guy Bennett, Jr Clarkston Club next to Highland Elementary. 
2005
Celebrating 60 Years
We celebrated 60 years of serving youth. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lewis Clark Valley is proud of its past, but our focus is on the future.
