A comprehensive homework help and tutoring program.

  • Power Hour is designed to raise the academic proficiency of Club members of all ages.  
  • Also promotes high-yield learning activities as an option for kids with no homework.

This financial literacy program was designed specifically to help teens (ages 13-18) expand their knowledge of money management.

  • They will learn the skills that lead to financial independence and well-being.

Project Learn reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school through high-yield learning activities.

  • This program promotes educational activities that are fun for youth, so the learning doesn’t stop at the end of the school day or during the summer.

Summer Brain Gain, one of the newest programs to the Boys & Girls Club, aides in the fight against summer learning loss in youth.

  • Two programs, Summer Brain Gain and Summer Brain Gain:  are designed to enhance and reinforce literacy and critical thinking skills.  
  • High-quality, fun, structured activities will keep kids excited and engaged, and bridge the gap from one school year to the next!

Career Launch encourages Club members 13-18 to assess their skills and interests, explore careers, make sound educational decisions and prepare to join our nation’s work force.

  • Mentoring, job shadowing and career exploration round out this program.

The Jr. Staff Program assists teen Club members in exploring a career in youth of human service, particularly Boys & Girls Club work.

  • Jr. Staff are able to help out staff by setting up activities, running activities, cleaning, helping with snack or lunch, and basically being a right-hand helper of a staff (without disciplining others, first aid help, etc.).  
  • Although Jr. Staff can’t be in an area without a staff, they are able to do many other important jobs to help the staff throughout the day.

Club Tech is a program designed to train members how to use various Microsoft software programs.

  • Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and Digital Imago Pro through animated lessons and instructor-led group activities.  
  • Club Tech II teaches participants about hardware identification and installation, networking and technology-related careers.  
  • www.myclubmylife.com is a website created by BGCA to help prepare America’s youth for success in school and the 21st Century workforce.

The Go On/ Goals for Graduation program is a school year program that educates teen members on the importance of graduating from high school and going to college.

  • Teens get a chance to learn about applying for college
  • Learn about financial aid and the FAFSA
  • Hear from guest speakers, and attend college tours and athletic events.

Netsmartz teaches kids internet safety skills

  • Safety skills learned through engaging multimedia activities and offline interaction with Club professionals in three age-appropriate models.  
  • Topics include personal safety, shopping safely and ethical use of the internet.
